God's Crooked Lines 2022 Movie - Storyline :

Alice Gould de Almenara checks into a mental health facility in 1979 where she meets Dr. Ruipérez and Dr. Arellano. She is given a tour by Dr. Garca del Olmo's son Damián and meets other patients including Ignacio Urquieta and the Gnome. Urquieta reveals Damián had a dispute with the Gnome and later, Alice is attacked in the forest and is accused of being the Gnome's murderer. Director Samuel Alvar contests her claim of writing to him and she tries to escape but is put to sleep.

At Climax:

Alicia requests a meeting of the medical council and shares with Castell her concerns regarding Damián's murder. Alvar asserts that Alice was interned as a result of Donado's recommendation on behalf of Heliodoro. She asserts that in order to enter the facility, she tricked Ruipérez and pretended to have a mental illness. She then describes how she met Garca del Olmo and began an investigation to find out what happened to Damián. How Garca del Olmo instructed her to pose as paranoid in order to enter the facility, how they persuaded Donado to vouch for her condition, and how Heliodoro signed the document authorizing their decision to deny her entry. Alvar claims that Alice attempted to poison the man she married because she was angry that he only cared about her money. Heliodoro discovered Alice's poison stash after he recovered from a seizure, and Alice knew she was in trouble so she created the persona of a private eye.
